Hi,

More likely it is the electric clutch on the pump or your fuse. Check fuse first then clutch on your pump, also look a the wire going to the electric clutch and make sure it is on. There are a bunch of things that can cause this problem but you'll need some special gauges and equipment to deal with A/C work, not to mention a good understanding of how A/C systems operate. It is suggested to take your car to the repair shop for this problem.
Also check this bellow link and go through the article to have a compact idea regarding your problem…

Y would water be coming out the bk of my bmw engine and making it steam

In cold weather some steaming is normal as a cold engine warms up. Otherwise, it sounds like a blown head gasket.

Engine smokes with AC on

Check if it is smoke or steam, if it is smoke do not start the car, if it is steam disconnect AC and go to a mechanic.

My 2001 520i BMW 2001 model has stopped blowing heat/ac. It was working fine when I last drove it for about 100 miles. But then the next day it didn't work at all. Even front and side windows demisters...

Hi there,
I had the same problem with my 325 coupe. I had no blowing air and the only heat i got was coming from the engine. I got an auto electrician to look at this and he found it was the heater motor resistor that was broke. I got mine from BMW and cost me about £120.00. I hope you can get it sorted.

My ac/heater fan stopped blowing, where is the fan located? The air is still cold just not blowing out.

verify the fuse first!! the blower is located behind glove box, see it under it and only need to remove 4 phillips screws!

Hi My heater and air con has stopped blowing

Hi!!

Let's start with the basics, check blower motor and AC fuses and relays, also take a visual check to the wiring going to the Blower Motor (Firewall, passenger side). Look for broken wires and loose electrical terminals.

Let me know how it went.

Good Luck!!!

AC blows warm air when it rains

It sounds as if you have an ambient temperature sensor that is either shorting out when it gets wet or either the water is acting like an insulator and sends an incorrect reading to the body control module. You may want to contact BMW to the specific location on your particular year and model. As location will vary with model and year.

Engine running badly

yes water in tank can cause disturbance on the engine even costly damage to the engine! but dont have any effect on the brain(computer) or electric coponents ,if there is water in the fuel then have the tank cleaned ,the hoses blowed trhu, the fuel filter cleaner replace ,if possible the s park plugs replaced ....if the probleme persiste then , is surrely some thing else .it wil be wise to take your vehicle to a repair shop and have it scaned with the bmw apropriete tool and equipement nte that the 2001 bmw is 80% electronic so dnt try to fix it on your own more damage wil occure ......nicolas

2002 BMW 540I air/conditioner not blowing air at all.

It is the Final Stage Unit/Blower Motor Resistor - changed mine and the problem never came back. After two tows and drained batteries. Most mechanics don't seem to put this one togther - you have to demand it. Funny because it is a VERY COMMON problem in BMW.
