Yes,,, when you look at a fuse,,,there is a very small wire inside,,, it goes from ,,,,into the fuse,,,,, to out of the fuse,,,,,completing the circuit,,,,, if in the middle of the fuse,,,, you see a split in the wire,,,,, and possibly the plastic may be slightly blackened,,,,, the fuse is blown,,,,, you will not have a complete circuit,,,,, a/c will not work,,,,,, bring to your local parts store,,, and they will sell you a new fuse,,,,,,, put new fuse in,,,,, and unless you have a short somewhere ,,, your problem will be solved,,,,, JOEL,,
P.S. in your manual,,,if you still have,,it will show you which one is for your a/c ,,, or on the inside of the fuse box cover,,,, there may well be a diagram of the fuse locations,,,,,, and there purpose,,,,,,

What is the number of the fuse in the fuse box is for the air conditioner. the fuse box is only in numbers and we want to know which one is to the air. it only says to check owners manuel and i don't...

There really isn't a "fuse" for the air conditioner. There is however a A/C clutch relay. That relay is located in the power disribution box inside your engine compartment. It is in the number 204 position (see picture below). I just want to through this out to you just incase you don't know but if you are low on freon your A/C clutch won't engage so you might want to check your pressure before you go and replace the relay to be on the safe side. If you need a owners manual you can email me at with your make model and year and i will be happy to email it to you. Don't worry it's free. I hope this helped and good luck.clifford224_93.jpg

A/c and cooling fans stopped working, replaced fuse relay and sti

check your fuses.
if theyre all good under your hood is a black box with relays labeled fans ac etc. play switcheroo and see if you can make them work. when they do, figure out what one is bad and go buy a new one.

Need to know which relay fuse (under hood) belongs to air conditioner on 2000 dodge caravan & where is the relay box

the relay box is on the driver side, next to the battery. remove cover to find fuses and relay. it's on the bottom right if you look at it from the driver side fender. in the cap, you should find the diagram of the location of every fuse/relay located in there.

the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a 20 Amp (yellow fuse) in position #32. You can check the lid of the fuse box under the hood for a diagram to show the positions.

Fuse blows when air conditioner is turned on

there is a loose ground and or wrong size fuses for the air
if loose ground you will want to have a certified mechanic trace the grounds back to source
i dont think it could be relay but there is a way to check this
find the relay panel in the engine compartment open it
find the relay that says air conditioning
pull it out
now there are numbers on that relay
in that same relay box theres relays about 6 to 8 of them that look similar to the air conditioning relay
this is where the numbers come in if the numbers match switch with other relays
mark the air conditioning relay with black marker or nail polish so you know which relay is which
if its the relay thats bad the new relay from the relay box put in its place will work fine
put the old one back in the slot where you took out the other relay out of and then proceed to dealer to purchase new relay for your vehicle if the relay was the problem
