if you look at the exhaust manifold and follow it down you will see a lug sticking out of it with some wires coming out of the end (1 to 4 wires is normal) this is your oxygen sensor

You did not specify if its petrol or Diesel I am assuming it is diesel. It might be the glow plugs. Get them checked as you will need these to get it started. If its petrol its a different issue. It might be the ignition coil (no spark) coming to the distributor. Whichever the type of car make sure that there is fuel coming to the engine. In the case of diesel you should have a primer rubber fuel pump which you press in order to bring fuel to the engine.
check the mass air flow sensor, if this is bad then the ecu wont get a signal and it wont send the right amount of fuel to the cylinders causing a no start condition
