It sounds like you have a stone lodged in one of your wheels. They can lodge themselves between the brakes and backing plate
.Possible solution ,try reversing and slam on the brakes .This has worked for me several times. Good luck

My volvo v40 makes clicking noise in the rear wheel area when I press on the gas pedal and after I release the gas pedal while the car is moving . Is the caliper stuck or the pad is loose?

If it is just in one side . Lift it and check it . If nothing . On wheel . It may be your universal join. That's what it sound to me. Calipers make your wheels to burn.

Volvo v40 alarm will not turn off with remote. How can I turn it off manually. It is not the fob battery.Car will start with the key but alarm keeps sounding.Neighbours are unimpressed.Have tried...

In some cases you may need to unlock the door but leave the key turned to the unlock position for a few seconds. Aside from that your RF receiver for the signal from the keyless could be at fault. Hope that helps.

I have a traction control fault message and a grinding noise when the brakes are applied; especially when turning left.

Check your brake pads as the grinding noise could be the metal wear flags making contact with the discs to inform you that they need replacing. The traction control fault light may be on due to low brake fluid or fault in braking system, don't wait check it out ! Hope this helps

Clicking noise from drive shaft

Take it back to the installer of the drive shaft and demonstate to them the problem.

The symptons you describe a indicate to me you have a faulty constant velocity drive joint or inadequate grease lubrication in the joint.

If the drive shaft proves to be the problem, it should be replaced with a new unit under warranty.
