I have a 1988 coaster bus it has a small fuel leak right front side of the engine it stops when the engine is is warm any clues

Is this from the actual engine or a pipe near that part of the engine? If is the actual engine it won't be fuel leaking.
If it is a pipe try this. Wipe the pipe clean as best you can and check the connectors at both ends of the pipe and any other pipes near it. Tighten the clamps a SMALL amount and recheck for leaks after the vehicle has been used.
If it still leaks you probably have a crack or a puncture hole in one of the pipes. Keeping it clean and dry might help you find where it's leaking from more accurately.

How can I pass an emissions test with the trouble code of p0420 on 2000 Cadillac deville. Without getting it fixed right now.

Possible Causes:
  • Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes
  • Base engine problems (i.e., high engine oil or coolant usage)
  • Catalytic converter is damaged, contaminated or has failed
  • Continuous engine misfire conditions, or weak or low coil output
  • Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture
  • Rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole (check it for a leak)

Gas leaking front passenger side of ford windstar

Have you looked under the hood? (I don't mean to sound like a wise guy.) There are two shiney metal pipes one on the front of the engine and one on the rear as you look at it from the front. They run from right to left on the engine. These are the fuel racks that feed the fuel injectors, (assuming that you have a 3 litre or larger v6 engine). These can concievably rust at the left, (passenger), end and blow gasoline out the passenger side. It is also possible that gas could be leaking anywhere on the engine and roll off the passenger side of the engine or if the fuel line on the driver's side has rusted over a cross member of the frame and possibly roll to the passenger side. Also, there is pretty good pressure on the fuel line when it is running. If there is a rust hole on the right side of the line itself, it could spray to the passenger side, hit something and drip off from there. These are just possibilities. Good luck. Jeff M.

My van is now starting to sound like a tractor

Check your exhaust system for leaks holes in the pipes or gasket problems at pipe connections and exhaust maniflod It won't be loud if the problem is befind the muffler in front it will be .You can usauly feel the exhuast comeing out if you cheak it right after you start the engine and the pipes are still cold because the exhauts will be hot . Try to pin point ware the noise is comeing from first like the day before .Don't get burned these things get vary hot

I have a 97 passport and my engine coolant keeps leaking out of a small hole right above the flywheel on the back of the engine block. Is this hole supposed to be there and if so where would the leak...

I Have a 94 Rodeo,3.2l v6 I had the same problem...Yes it is a drain hole..You might have a coolant pipe running under your lower intake if so it's the "O" ring on that pipe..It runs from the upper radiator hose to rear of block...50 cent part. If you are doing it yourself check the other heater hose metal pipe O ring also. towards the front under the thermostat housing. I just fixed mine.I had antifreeze coming out the inspection plates on the trans took off the upper plenium and lower intake and the rubber O ring was shot.Clean out flange use a wire V shaped wheel. make sure the Ring fits Snug on the coolant pipe, dry fit in the flange.( Got assorted sizes at NAPA) put a good coat of Black RTV silicon on O ring,And some in the hole itself press pipe in hole and install the bolts.Allow to set for 3hrs. Again this is on a 94 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 L V6 5spd. Hope that helps you

My van is leaking antifreeze from somewhere by the firewall of the van not the radiator. Its the metal hose that has a hole in it but i can't figure out the name of these metal (aluminum)hoses.

The metal hose by the firewall is either your heater core inlet pipe or outlet pipe. These inlet and outlet pipes will develop leaks for a varity of reasons. If this is the source of your leak, you may want to replace the entire heater core which is much easier than trying to fix the leak. The attached link will help you.
