Hi,

The knock sensor is located in the valley of the engine block at the top and towards the rear of the engine. However it is underneath the intake manifold which you will have to remove to gain access to it.

There is a fair bit of work involved in doing this. See diagram below for location (intake manifold is removed).

Please do leave a vote for the solution. Thanks.

Most 'knock sensors' are located on the engine block. If you have your 'owners manual' it should show where the 'knock sensor' is located.

V6 3.3L The sensor is located underneath the air intake manifold on top of the engine block. This should take an experienced mechanic about 3-4 hours to replace.

I cant find the knock sensor on my 1993 toyota camary v6

The knock sensor is located inside the cylinder block, on the inner side of the cylinders. You have to remove the cylinder heads to see it. In a word, this is a very difficult undertaking.

Location of knock sensor

Knock sensors can be difficult to locate because there usually buried under intake or exhaust manifolds and misc. engine wiring and plumbing. Knock sensors need to hear an engine knocking noise, therefore there usually located somewhere they can hear an engine knock. If it's a V6 then possibly it will be between the cylinder heads and access to them can only be attained by removing the intake manifold. I would suggest calling a Nissan Dealer parts person and ask them. Good luck.
