I need the location of the temperature guage sending unit on a 1994 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 6 cylinder, 5.9 liter diesel engine

- Coolant Temperature Sensor is located: Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, below intake manifold, mounted in cylinder head
- Engine Temperature Sensor is located: This vehicle is not equipped with selected component
- Temperature Switch is located: Under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted on rear of cylinder head

However, for gas or diesel vehicles, if your gauge reads HOT , or the temperature light comes on, this means there is a potential mechanical problem.
