One of two things pull the fuse for one or two will key around in ignition cause sometimes ignitions do get stuck on the on position. Mine does. Or three some trucks have fans that stay on for about 5 to ten minutes to help cool engine even after engine off. Note the time. If it dont go off in 5 to ten minutes try the key thing if no success there pull the fuse.

Fan stuck on high

if your talking about the ac fan staying on a bad relay will cause it also if it runs for 10 min the body control module might be programmed for that

When I turn my car off the air conditioner still runs-I needed a jump the other day because it ran all night and wore the battery down.

OK, if the relay for the A/C fan is bad, then the radiator's fan will keep running after turning off the ignition. Also, if the fan for ventilation of the A/C in the cabin stays on after the ignition is turned off, the relay for that is bad.

Good luck on this repair.

The ac fan stays on with the key off

You are on the right path, this sounds like the resistor is bad and keeping your fan on, the resistor is located on the passengerside under the dash bolted to the heaterbox next to blowermotor, also the correct name for this is fan control module, heres a diagram to help you it show the module inside car, hope this helps.5c80511.gif

A/c fan blows without car turned on or key in ignition

Either you have connected your wiring incorrectly, recheck all of your wiring connections, Or the power supply for the fan is coming straight from the battery instead of running through the switched relay, most likely the relay is stuck closed allowing the fan to stay on.
