Good Evening there are a few different things that can be the culprit. First off it could be the oil pressure sending unit, which is a good possibility or the oil pump. Either way the best way to find out is to go to the local parts store and get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and screw it in where the oil pressure sending unit goes most sensors fail however if working the light will come on below 5 or 7lbs of pressure. That is the best place to start. Hope this helps and remember if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
Reset the computer, take the positive cable off for 5mins. you possibly just hve a bad oil sending unit which tells your computer that engine is low on oil!! this will also stop dinging!! hope this helps your travel. if so let me know!!!be safe

Usually answered in minutes!
did you check the oil soon after turning the engine off, or did you give it time to settle?
Can you contact a Dodge dealership in your that has extended hours? Tough to find that on a Sunday, but it's worth a try.
Usually, in any vehicle that dinging is to advise you of a very serious problem. Overheating, no engine oil, etc. I personally wouldn't push it if you vehicle is telling you there's a problem. Better to have a bit of inconvenience than a $3500 engine mistake. Good luck!
