I am having the same problem with my 2002 X5. There is a motor or fan running behind the AC control panel on the dash and if I pull fuse 48 it stops and the battery doesn't drain. Still looking for the cause and solution so that I don't have to keep pulling and installin fuse 48. BMW garage suggested that it was the Final Stage Blower Resistor. I replaced this and no change. I hope someone has an answer that will help us both.
No power to something, no matter what, normally means a blown fuse. Check the fuse to it. The fuse panel cover has the diagram on the under side of it or would be in the operator/repair manual.
CHECK ALTERNATOR OUT PUT IT SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS WITH CAR RUNNING.CHECK ALTERNATOR WIRES AND FUSE.ALSO HAVE THE BMW DEALERSHIP SCAN YOUR CAR BECAUSE ALTERNATOR IS PCM CONTROLLED.
there are three things that would cause this problem
1. the window motor is bad 2. the fuse that controls the window is blown
3. most common is the window switch its self
this is the most common cause if the motor was going out it would make a noise or go down very slow but going down is easier then up so thats what makes me think switch or fuse
