Hi,

Take a look at the steps involved.

First remove the window/lock control panel by prying up from the front edge, then sliding forward. Disconnect the electricals and set aside.

Pry the filler panel out from behind the inside door release handle.

Remove the two screw covers on the front edghow to remove lexus sc400 door panel. i taken all - c7f64ba.jpgor panel, then remove the 8 screws:

Lift the door panel away and up to remove it from the door frame and allow access to the regulator.
Be cautious when prying the clips loose and removing the panel; the plastic gets brittle with age and has been known to crack rather easily.

Good Luck!!

Thanks!!

    Thanks for your response!!

Few more points to be noted :-

There is a thing plastic cover inside the black plastic housing of the door handle/door lock compartment. You need to pry that loose and there was a screw holding this part of the panel
to the door. Removed the screw and the whole panel was free.

    Good Luck!!

    Thanks!!

Sc400

Sounds like you need to have the valve guides replaced. This repair requires the engine to be taken apart. If the car is high miles then you might consider a rebuilt engine.

1993 lexus sc400. Drivers window fell down inside door. Can hear the motor running. Is it just off the track? Thanks!!!

You will have to remove the door panel to find out

I would say 95% of the time, it is more than off the
track, if that is even possible.

In most cases the window regulator breaks or
wears out. Every vehicle is slightly different

I am needing a door lock actuator (passenger door) for my 2000 Lexus RX300. Do you know of any parts places besides Lexus where I might find one ?

Try to find your solution here, from Germany Lexus Owners:

QUOTE
I justreplaced my door lock actuator on my 2003 Lexus RX300. A rather comprehensive set of instructions for removal of the door panel can be found at: clublexus.com door+panel+removal

To remove the door handle trim: after removing the screw in the door handle trim, pry (I use a painters 5 in 1 tool) the trim piece outwardsfrom the rear of the door panel at both the top and bottom of the trim piece. This will release the two small rear clips. Then push the trim forward to release the main clip located on the back side the handle trim piece

As the least expensive OEM replacement door lock actuator for Lexus RX300 is $230 or more, I opted for the $15 replacement option as outlined below: us.lexusownersclub.com/forums

Keep in mind that this job outlined above is a bit on the technical side.If you aren't that talented, spend the money and order a OEM Lexus replacement latch actuator and do the installation as the OEM latch assembly is not repairable.

Viel Gluck (good luck in German)
END QUOTE

I hope helps with this. Good luck.

You will need to take the antenna motor out and take the cover apart to remove that piece. Pretty simple.

How do i replace a window. i can't get the door panel off.

you need to remove a couple screws, usually in the door latch area and door pull area, these are normally covered with a plastic cap. you will need a flat blade screw driver or flat pry bar, start at the bottom, disconnect the door lights if any and unplug the window switch. when removing, the panel will make a snapping or popping noise. this is normal. depending on the front or rear, there are usually two screws attaching the window to the PW base. you will need to carefully remove the plastic lining on the door. After you have taken out the screws reconnect the PW connection ad lower the base, remove the glass and re assemble as you have taken apart, Best of Luck!

How do i put in a window regulator in a 98' Dodge Durango on the driver front side?

for the most part, you will need to remove the door panel, this includes removing the couple of screws in the latch area and the arm rest pull. after this is done, traditionally you will need to remove either 3-4 screws from the bottom of the door panel of a flat blade screw driver or flat pry bar to pop out the panel. after you have removed the items the door panel should be set aside, and carefully remove the plastic lining on the door. locate through the access panel how the window is secured , normally by screws or bolts or by a locking clip. remove these and remove the window. there are usually three bolts around the regulator, remove them, in addition, there are 2 bolts on each side of the window tracks, remove these, you will need to twist out to remove, replace your new regulator and re assemble as you have taken apart, this is normally a 3-4 hour time period to replace, Good Luck!!!
