Passenger side window stopped working. I changed the motor and it still does not work. There is no voltage where the new motor attaches to the car wire. it happen with me also actually the problem is the power window get jammed from the inner part..... you if you able to open it just open now clean it well then spray the lube into it and for a long time it work properly..... thankyou

Couple of things, could be either the switch itself on the drivers side, OR the window regulator is shot.

Sounds like the motor is bad.remove passenger panel check for voltage at motor ,if no voltage wiring is broken .if there is voltage replace motor

Rather then swaping parts that don't fix it , testing the electrical is the proper way to diagnose . Using a wiring diagram to locate testing point's in the circuit . Tesing for B+ voltage at the switch , in an out , at the motor etc.... How to test power window switch motor 1985 2001 Toyota

If you try to work with the driver side windows switch... work passenger window?
Yes: Your problem is the passenger windows switch
No: Your problem is the power windows motor


Take off the door panel and first try testing wires voltage at windows motor and motor at windows switch.

The next step of course would be the window motor and or the window motor harness inside the door. Pull the door panel off and check to see if the motor gets battery power when the switch is operated.

Motor is not turning in second direction to lower window. Either the new motor is defective or the device that reverses the electricity to the motor is defective. Regulator?

Take motor out and feed it juice - will turn. Reverse polarity and it should turn in other direction.

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under passenger side dash or behind glove box.
Drivers door window gets used the most so it could be the motor, window switch, relay or fuse.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit.
The motor and the relay are the most likely to cause this problem. Try swapping the relay with a working window relay. If it still doesn't work, remove the door panel and remove the window motor.
Turn the motor shaft in both directions by hand several turns. Then plug the motor in and see if the switch will now run the motor. Sometimes thats all it takes to get it working again. I have had to do this with brand new motors. If voltage is not present at the motor connector, either a bad switch or a broken wire exsists. Make sure to check for voltage coming to that windows switch. Actually, GM use's a circuit breaker type relay for each window and one fuse for all the circuit breakers.

Check for voltage at the window motor, while working switch, if you have voltage, bad window motor.

you have to run a power wire to the motor in the door and press up on the window button it should go back up if not then you need to change the button hook up or the motor
