For 2 days now, my 2002 Saturn SL2 door locks have given me trouble. When I open the doors by remote, only the driver's door opens. When I exit the car and press the close button on the remote, no doors would be locked, and the back doors (first the right https://www.fixya.com/Images/BrowseProject/throbber.gifdoor, then the left, then both doors) would start fluttering and producing a tapping sound. The fluttering happens as soon as car starts and stays until minutes after the car is turned off. Now I'm reduced to opening the car by key and manually opening and closing the doors. What is wrong? And can I fix whatever is wrong myself, or I have to get professional help?

. Remove key from ignition switch.2. Close all doors.
3. Open drivers door
4. Insert key and turn to ON position and within 10 seconds turn
key off and remove key.
5. Within 20 seconds Close and open drivers door 3 times.
6. Insert key and turn to ON position and within 10 seconds turn
key off and remove key.
7. Locks should now lock and unlock automatically to confirm you
have entered programming mode.
8. Press the UNLOCK button on remote and locks should cycle to
confirm programming.
9. Repeat step 8 on each additional remote.
10. Exit vehicle with keys and remote, close door test remote(s).

Try the simple fix first......change the batteries.

As per the Haynes manual for your vehicle.
DOOR WINDOW GLASS-REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION:
1. Remove the door outer panal.
2. Lower the window glass.
3. remove the two nuts and one screw securing the glass.
4. Remove the glass by lifting it up carefully and rotating it inward.
5. Installation is reversal of removal.

DOOR OUTER PANAL-REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION:
1. Remove door trim panal.
2. Remove the outside mirror. Remove the foam block from the mirror opening.
3. Remove the outside door handle.
4. Open the door and pry thhe outer sealing strip out of the window glass opening.
5. remove the door panal screws.
6. Detach the front and rear of the outer panel, then lift it toward the rear to remove it.
7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Apply thread locking compound to the panel retaining screws.

OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE-REMOVAL:
1. Pull handle out and puch the centers of the retaining pins through the pins, then remove them and detach handle. (These pins are located underneath the handle.

Open the remotes up...Are the boards the same...?

take off the plastic door panel and then there should b some plastic paper covering move it aside and reach ur hand to the back of the door (your doing this blindly) pull the door hanle to find the rod, once you find it find the latch from the inside of the door now feel for a hole and find the end of the door handle rod and place the door handle rod in the hole firmly. this should work.

If you can unlock it with the key,and not the remote, then it sounds like the lock actuator is not working in that door.In order to check it, the door panel has to come off.

open the fuse box on the passenger side of the console. Check all the fuses. Also there is a fuse box under the hood I believe on the driver side. check all these fuses also. The only other thing to check if your motors are working fine, is the wiring.
