It can be an intermittant power relay under the hood,an intermittant low pressure switch on the receiver can under the hood on the passenger side of the engine compartment,when it stops,wiggle any and all wiring associated with the system be it under the hood or behind the dash as it also can be an intermittant connection

If the low-pressure side is lower than it should be but the high-pressure side is normal or showing higher than it should, your orifice tube may be clogged.

you have moisture in the system this causes your expancion valve to freeze up an stop working, thats why it works for sort time and when it de-freezes stars working again. you need to do a EVAC & RECHARGE with a good AC service equipment, specially attention to pull vacumm por at least 20minutes so you get all moisture out of the system.

your ac compressor is freezing up try not putting it on cold all the way. put thermostat towards the red jus a lil but still on the cold side to see if that helps
