2003 Grand Caravan - Was told by friendly motorist that stoplights were out, all three. ASSuMEd that the bulbs should be OK as all three stopped working at the same time. Fuse checked out OK so I replaced the stoplight switch. No fix. Then I discovered that the lo-beam headlights were not working. Cant even find the fuse for those. To top if off, when the van is running and in park, when I depress the break pedal there is a click in the steering column. this click does not happen when driving.
Re: 2003 Grand Caravan - Was told by friendly motorist...
So did you check you bulbs or just assume they were good?? As far as the click you hear in the colume that sounds like the park lock releasing wich is normal.

I had an issue where my backup lights stopped working. I was told to remove the IOD for 30 seconds, replace and test. Sure enough the BU lights returned! I see different values for the IOD, mine is a 20 amp in a 2003 Dodge Caravan SE, no electric anything and a 2.4L engine. Is this the correct fuse?
possible the bulb socket is bad and not makeing connection or ground.check the fuses for blown fuse controlling the right side brake light. use a testing light to test the socket and fuses.
1st check the condition of the oil by checking the dipstick. If the oil looks milky then it's a head gasket issue. If oil is ok, refill coolant, start vehicle and let it run for 5 to 10 min. If you notice alot of white steam coming from exhaust then it's a head gasket. After vehicle reaches normal operating temperture, shut vehicle off. Now you're gonna have to check each individual spark plug. If you find one that's wet from coolant then you're gonna have to replace head gasket.
did you try to replace the bulb in the back normally when it blinks fast like that its just the bulb and its doulbe film thats why the brake and blinker dont work
1) open the hood. 2) Carefully remove the three screws holding the
headlight assembly in place. 3) Carefully slide the
headlight assembly out. At this point you can replace the headlight
bulb, turn signal bulb, or the entire headlight assembly. To replace
the headlight bulb turn the collar holding the bulb in counter
clockwise. Pull the bulb out of the headlight assembly. Replace the
bulb. Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly insert the collar and
turn clockwise until it locks. (Do not touchglass with your fingers or it will cause the bulbs to catastrophically fail - clean with alcohol pad if you touch the glass) 4) Carefully insert the headlight
assembly back into place. 5) Replace the three screws removed in step 2
being careful not to over tighten.
