Possibly a fuel supply issue. Will require a fuel pressure tester. Could be in tank pump or a bad fuel pump relay. In a quiet environment, turn key on (not start position ) and listen if you can hear the guel pump run for 1 or 2 seconds.
Check the ignition timing is correct. I see that you have changed the wires so I suggest that you recheck the firing order for the plugs as it is easy to get it wrong when replacing the leads.
CHECK FUEL PRESSURE COULD BE TO LOW OR PUMP JUST QUITE
SOMTIMES POUNDING UNDER CENTER OF GAS TANK WHILE CRANKING WILL GET IT STARTED AGAIN BUT THIS WILL ONLY WORK ONCE OR TWICE GET IT TO A GARAGE OR SHOP TO GET IT CHANGE IF THIS STARTS IT UP
Check for a fuel filter problem..... sometimes the newer fuel pump can **** up debri from the bottom of fuel tanks that the old pump did not have the flow to **** up.
sounds like a fuel problem. start by checking or replacing fuel filter. then do a pressure check of fuel pump and system if need be. if the car lacks power under load or when you gas it, it is a fuel system problem. and it will not hurt to look and see if air filter is ok! have a good holiday !!
this is known as a "cold start" problem. common possibilities include a restricted fuel filter, clogged or dirty injectors, or even a problem with the coolant temperature sensor (CTS) or oxygen (O2) sensor.
the fuel filter sounds like the problem, are you sure its carborated not fuel injucted because fuel injuction has a regulater for the fuel if it is stuck open you would pump gas to the fuel rail and back to the fuel tank
