Okay, could be the oil of the A/C system too but with a rag when you cleaned the smelling liquid, wich color it was ? Red/Orange or Green is Coolant & Yellow/Brownish color is Oil !

It's a brownish color definitely..It smells like a stinky ****,lol

If your A/C still working good, with cold air, won't be the A/C system leaking because it would leakout in a second and you would lose your cold air ! It sound to me, that your heater core is leaking in the airbox and leak out on passenger side ! Seem's to be Old Coolant, DexCool ( Orange Coolant ) is stinky when it's old, if you replace the Heater Core, replace the whole Coolant, normally it's good only for 5year's ( Dexcool Orange type ) and 2-3 Year's ( Green or Yellow Type ) ! After that they become acid and eat everything is called aluminium such rad and heatercore lol !

I am getting water on the passenger side floorboard

Water or coolant? Coolant (if you have the correct 50/50 ratio of water and antifreeze) will have a distinctive smell.
If it's coolant that's getting on the passenger side floorboard, you probably have a leak in your heater core.
If it's water, it may be condensation from your a/c evaporator - there's a drain that should allow the condensate out of the HVAC box, but if it's plugged, the water will come inside. The other possibility if it's water is that there is a leak around a window seal, windshield, sunroof, possibly the door window.

What is causing water to leak down onto the passenger side floorboard of my 2004 Mazda 6 wagon when I have AC on?

Feel the water and smell it. If it smells sweet and fells oily, is is coolant. If is isn't oily and has no real smell, it is water. There is a tray under the evaporator and heater cores that catches water/coolant and drains it via a tube thru the firewall to the outside of the car. This tube is probably clogged and needs purged. If you have coolant on the floor, you'll need to replace the heater core. If it is water, purging the hose will solve the problem as the water is just condensation from the AC coils

Water in passenger floorboard

If it smells sweet and is sticky it is your Heater Core leaking. IPD has all the parts and a Video on You Tube that makes it very easy.

Overheating

Was the coolant old and weak? At ten degrees, a weak coolant could result in freezing and that can cause an engine freeze plug to burst open. Check the side of the engine block for signs of leakage around the freeze plugs. Another possibility is the heater hoses. They run along the passenger side of the engine as well. The last possibility is the heater core. If it leaks you may smell coolant inside the passenger compartment. You MAY get a wet floorboard on the passenger side. Coolant leaking from the core usually will fall into the condensation pan for the A/C and run out of the passenger compartment thru the firewall on the passengers side.

Why does passenger side floorboard get wet in 03 buick century?

check the hvac system drain on the firewall. condensation has to drain from the hvac box and when the drain plugs up, it leaks inside of the coach. I bet your from a warm weather climate and still using your a.c. i'm from green bay wi. and have not heard this complaint since august. if your from a cold weather place, see if the moisture smells like antifreeze. if so, suspect a faulty heater core.

Car will not defrost . Side windows especially. Have tried AC. Nothing seems to work

Do you smell and coolant? It's heater core season. Sounds to me like it could be a small leak in the heater core. Check the passenger side floorboard for any signs or smells of coolant. the Stick

Fluid leaking onto the front passenger side floorboards.

2004 TB 60,000 miles. i was just told that the leaking fluid in my passenger side floorboard was do to a clogged up A/c hose. An A/C works by drying/ removing the moisture from the air inside the vehicle and cooling it. The accumulated fluid is usually evacuated under the vehicle which is what you see when people are stopped at a red light and there is dripping under their car. when a hose is blocked there is a vent that from some reason flows directly into the passenger side floor board. If you can not manually knock loose the block your probably going to have to take it to a mechanic.
