1991 TOYOTA pickup 4cyl 4spd w/AC likes to die at stop signs when warm. Runs fine cold and with AC on. Relaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor because they were worn. Runs after warming up now at stop signs but just barely. I don't see an idle adjustment and it didn't do this when we bought it a couple of months ago. Thanks!

power steering puts a lot of load on the engine and if the idle compensator does not adjust it dies. a struggling pump can cause more load. when pump gets warm it works easier. Notice how when you check fluid it says hot cold.

check your control modulator, or a problem I had with one of my cars is my car had an shut off fuel relay designed to stop fuel should the car roll over.
my Chevy had a lot of problem I kept chasing and it ended up being the ECM (trucks computer)

Yes that sounds like an ignition problem I would start by replacing the spark plugs, the spark plug wires and the distributor cap and rotor and the air filter, this is just a basic tune up but that's where I would begin.

you need to replace the fuel sock in the tank and the fuel filte and do a tuneup wires plugs and cap.

sounds like the clutch isnt engaging properly in the situations you described. may need to check fluid levels if there ok. then may need to get serviced or checked at least

Does your Dizy have a "module" ? Had a similar prob with another petrol, runs fine until engine warms up and the dies and won't start? Starts once it cools down? Then I would say its the module.

Have you pulled out the spark plugs to see if there are any tell tale signs on them.They are a good indicator of many problems that occur and can save a lot of time isolating the problem.They should all be the same colour.Is the air box and lid properly secured with no leaks or splits in the intake tube.Have you put injector cleaner in the fuel tank to clear up any possible dirty injectors.Therse a few things your problem could be including engine vacuum leak which you can find by lightly spraying carburettor cleaner around suspect places such as inlet manifold and around injector seals.
