No it has nothing to do with spark or the MAF sensor. its simply a trans problem. either a solenoid is on stuck when the car is in gear and it wont go to neutral. ok try this lift up the car and try to put it in gear. if it does not die let me know ok. bc thats the torque converter not going into stall mode, there fore the bar is in gear and it locks up with the tires and if it does so the engine cant simply turn therefore it causes the isntant kill on your engine. let me know what happens. try what i said and you will see that i am not mistaken. you are welcome.

You may need a new idle sensor. Also check fuel filter and spark.

Ran fine, shut off. Came back out, turned over but not start. Had jump started twice but put in gear and died. Question: I know low on gas, can this effect anything?

Possibly a fuel supply issue. Will require a fuel pressure tester. Could be in tank pump or a bad fuel pump relay. In a quiet environment, turn key on (not start position ) and listen if you can hear the guel pump run for 1 or 2 seconds.

do you have a make and model of the vehicle? does it blow fuses.I would say that the A/C is aftermarket and interfering with the electronics on the vehicle shutting it down. maybe try connecting the compressor to a different power outlet and see what happens..

My 2000 ford focus does good, til i change into 2nd gear, then from 2nd through 5th gears, it jerks and barely runs. and when it gets real bad, it causes the clutch to slip, what could be the cause of...

So you can race the engine in neutral, and no problem with it trying to die? If that's so, I think you need a clutch job. A clutch disc contaminated with oil or grease will cause jerking and slipping.
