My lexus LS400 92 keeps blowing fuses. The mechanic said I have a short. He wants to replace the electrical wiring from the ignition to the engine, Does this sound about right, and what's that wiring called because he wants me to find that part.

SOURCE: lexus heater blows cold

You could have a blocked heater core. Check for two heater hoses running into the firewall in the back of your engine. They should be together and about 5/8" in diaameter. If one is hot and the other is cooler then your heater core is blocked. Unhook both hoses and use a garden hose to back flush. Be sure to catch the coolant and dispose of it properly.

This fuse may serve the compressor clutch. Were you using the AC at the time? If yes, you may need to replace the compressor clutch. There are also a few other circuits on this fuse. See diagrams at the link below.

You have a Chrysler , dodge , or Plymouth ? ASD Fuse supplies power to ASD relay ,if you have a Dodge , Chrysler or Plymouth vehicle . You have a short to ground , videos on you tube , how to find a electrical short ! ASD - auto shut down , this powers Ignition system , fuel injectors , O2 sensors . My 2004 ford explorer keeps blowing the ignition fuse also i noticed that my windshield wipers also stopped working

You have a short to ground on that circuit ,the only way to find it is to find a wiring diagram an see what all gets power from that fuse .Then isolate each circuit until the fuse doesn't blow any more . Go to youtube an check out some videos on finding a short on automotive wiring . Also I suggest you check out some videos on basic automotive electrical trouble shooting . Finding an fix automotive electrical shorts is best left to a automotive electrical repair shop !

Fuse blows as soon as you incert it into yhe ignition circuit on my C300H countax

You have a short somewhere and you need to trace the wiring. For your diagnosis, use "circuit breaker" fuse which will auto-trip/reset if there is a short or high amp draw. I even replaced some of my fuse with circuit breaker.

My power window and door locks fuse keeps blowing.

When the fuse blows figure out what you are doing, what switch is being pressed, then remove the needed panels to access the wiring to the switch and motor it operates, then you will find the damaged wiring and repair the short, no quick fix, just hard grunt work.

Horn does not work on my 1994 Lexus E300

Horns are nothing more than an electrical coil that has a set of points to open and close the circuit. This sucks the horn plate in and out giving you the sound. If it is blowing fuses check the wiring for shorts to earth and if ok replace the horn as the coil has probably rusted up and has a dead short inside.

My internal lights keeps blowing 10A fuse on lexus is250 sport (2006) model..takes about 3 hours from when you put in the new fuse.

Are the globes you are using internally the correct rating ? Normally a short will blow the fuse immediately.

Also are you sure the 10A fuse is the correct AMP rating ?

Doulbe check both these with either your owners manual or a Lexus dealer.

If both these are correct you will either need to trace, test and check the related wiring yourself using a standard voltmeter (from fuse contact in the fuse box to the globe contact). Check for stable currency and AMP readings. Note the AMP readings for the answer to the above questions.
Auto electric are generally a nightmare, with all the various colour coded wires running inside wire harnesses, making them difficult to trace with out a full wiring diagram for the vehicle
have an auto electrician check it out for you
