Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
If there is damage to the door, I would go ahead and replace it, because it could either be the latch broke, or the door needs to be adjusted. If the latch is broken then it has to be replaced, if it just needs adjustment, then you could do that without replacing the door, although if you are going to go through the trouble you might as well replace it anyway.
