I have an 05 hse with the same issue, prought it to an electrical specialist who went in the boot and unkinked the infrared wires from all components, it worked for about a month and a few days ago it started again, when you say you "deoxed" the bluetooth harness....do you mean the nokia brain in the left rear boot or the cell phone dock in the front center console??? I have an appointment with the dealership tommorow and i hope they find the WIRING issue instead of trying to have me buy $5000 in new computers that wont fix the problem, its a common issue in this model with the logic 7 just wish someone who has already cleared this hurdle would post a solution:(...I will keep everyone updated
those lights are on to let you know that there is a problem with the system. if they are on their main options will be off, just like if your airbags light is on the airbags wont work if there is a crash, so take ur car to your mechanic and have it ckecked, there are lots of testing to be done on your car to determine what needs to be done
Official LRNA solution: buy a new module. I will be doing this tomorrow. I have been through this comprehensively with LR Dallas and LRNA. There may well have been other modules installed depending on when the Rover was built, but mine is not flashable. BTW, when plugged in, the dealer computer checks your Rover for updated software, which is downloaded from LRNA every night.
check you bluetooth module in left rear cargo area access panel.check connectors for bluish corrosion, also look for signs of dried water spots, possible water ingress onto entertainment modules
Ok, this isn't so much a solution as a work around.
As long as your phone is still holding the call (showing connected), once the Range Rover drops the call, hit the soft button that shows a picture of a green phone receiver....as if you were making a call. This will cause the Range Rover to reconnect the speakrs/mike to the phone, and you can continue your call in relative harmony.
I still haven't figured out how to get out of the jam when a second call comes in while you are still on the first....
Check the connections on the radio plugs behind and make sure the plugs are in properly.Put the radio on while it is out and move the wires around to see if there is a fault in the wires there , maybe they have rubbed through there and are causing a short circuit.
