Door will not close

check for operation of the latching mechanism..sometimes the grease on these gets really stiff in cold weather..when this happens the latch will not operate properly..spray with hot water to warm up the mechanism and then lubricate with wd40..as for the door sticking..rub dish soap or a soap bar on the weatherstripping..this will help to keep the door from sticking to the body in freezing temperatures.. if youre dealing with ice..use water at room temperature and pour it out over the door seal slowly..let it melt the ice out..do not use HOT water as this will break your windows due to extreme temperature change..good luck..

The door on my 2007 7 series resists being pulled to the close position

The latch can be adjusted, but make sure there isn't something wrong with the seal or hinges.

My power sliding door doesn't open fully. It makes clicking sound and a somewhat of a jerking motion. It open or closes slighty but the entire it makes the above mentioned noises. Any help would be...

I'm not sure about the noise, but the jerking motion might be because your the center roller (located in the rear middle of the sliding door) has worn out and need to be replace. This is a will known problem.

Your problem is very hard to answer because 05-10 odyssey has so many problem with sliding door.

rear latch:
-door not to latch close
-door not to work

front latch:
-door not to open

lock actuator:
-door not to open
-door will pop when opening

window motor:
-window not to work
-door will only open half way

center roller:
-jerking motion when opening
-door kick back close while opening
-door kick back open while closing

Door motor:
-door not to work
-cause door to jam

good luck

My 1999 vw beetles doors ae heavy to open and close very stiff

Use WD40 on the hinges and let soak in for ten minutes. wipe off the excess then apply White lithium grease to the hinged area and swing the door open and closed at least ten times to work in
The lubricants can be purchased at any discounted Hardware store to save money

Door catch

With the door open hold the door handle up as if opening the door. The latch in the door mechanism will now be free so you need to rotate it to the open position. It might be a bit stiff but it will rotate with the handle pushed You might need a pair of pliers or small wrench to move it around.

1995 Chevy suburban back door hinges too stiff

Lubricate the hinge or the hinge will have to be replaced.. I recommend wd40 first, then a finger tip amount of grease on top of hinge pin. the oil from the grease will keep the hinge constantly lubricated. It's not too late.

Door very stiff won't close tight

I have the same problem with the side doors of my 04 express. I put penetrating oil on the hinge pin with a hypodermic needle (hard to find). It is important that the oil gets into the hinge. I bent one set of hinges and broke a hinge because I waited too long to oil the hinge. The door may not close correctly because the hinge may be slightly bent. Keep all other hinges well lubed especially during the winter months when the hinges can be exposed to road salt. Fixing a bent hinge is difficult at best.
