Check the relays and fuses in the car, like the fuel pump relay, starter relay, all of the types of relays that are needed for the car to start. Although if the engine is turning over, then it is not the starter relay, then you would have to check if you have spark or if you are getting fuel. You can check if you are getting fuel by spraying starter fiuld into the intake, after doing so try to start the car, if the car starts then you are not getting fuel.

Have a nissan that want start, horn blows, battery is good, but want make a sound

Check ignition switch, and starter solenoid for functionality. Also, just because the horn blows, doesn't mean the battery holds a good enough load to crank the starter. Check to see if battery voltage drops when key is turned.

My car won't crank, lights work, horn blow and

Starter not turning over?
Controlled by integrated starter selenoid. SOMETIMES, tapping the starter will cause the selenoid to operate.
Assume that voltage (12Vdc) is getting to the starter when the key is in the start position (take 2 people and a voltmeter to check it).

The car wont turn over. when i place the key in the ignition to start the car it does nothing the dashboard dont light up, the car has a new starter, new battery, new spark plugs w/ cables

Is the battery fully charged and are the connections clean and tight. Your ignition fuse seems to be blown. Check the big fuses under the hood. Will the headlights come on? will the horn blow? Good Luck!!!

Try cleaning your battery terminals with a wire brush or sandpaper. You will need the proper wrench for this precedure. Retighten & start. If this fails, try taping the starter with a screwdriver. Sometimes this will free up a sticking starter selinoid. If this fails you may need a new starter. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The ignition switch attached to the column is probally bad, check the small wire to the sloenoid for battery when the key is turned to the start postion, if no battery, your not getting power from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid.

You need to establish that you have 12v in the battery and that all connections are clean and secure. Lights horn etc do not give you voltage verification...your starter uses more amperage than anything else in the car. Once you are certain that everything is OK, check for 12v at the small wire on the starter with the key turned to start. If no volts, check the neutral safety switch or clutch switch Then check ignition switch for power in/out.
