SOURCE: car just shuts down

if the theft light is comming on it will make it so it will not start i would take it to your local locksmith who has V.A.T.S. (vehicle anti theft system) equipment they can then read your key and make sure there is no problem if the key reads fine have them check at the bottom of the column they can hook up there machine and make sure it is reading the key to the bottom of the switch. Usually this is where the problem is there are only two small wire that go from the ignition cylinder to the harness below the column and after time they will break. Do this and it should resolve your problem. Thank You

SOURCE: car cut off, won't restart, later cranks up fine , no fault code

had same problem with 2000 dodge ram. would run great then start to buck then die.let sit would start then same thing. it took some time for the crank shaft position sensor code to pop up. changed sensor (very easy) good ever since.

SOURCE: 2003 Saab 9-3 won't start. Battery appears to be fine.

You could try tapping the starter and/or having it checked by a mechanic. If the vehicle is starting once in a while, have a mechanic check the Crank Shaft Position Sensor located on the Intake Manifold under an aluminum bracket. The wire to the sensor leads towards the throttle body. the connector at the throttle body is blue. This sensor is notorious for giving out gradually. If this is the problem, seriously replace it as the vehicle could die when driving (i've heard, but don't quote me on that). I owned a 2001 9-3 turbo and the same thing would happen until it no longer cranked. I replaced it when i researched the issue on the internet. The car turned on as soon as i replaced it 8) and did not have the same problem again.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Car will not stay on after I JUMP START

Just try to keep the gas and drive for at leat 15 min HWY if possible. Yes, it will turn off if you let go the gas, but it will restart and stay on as long as you press on gas. Just keep on driving and the computer will readjust the emission inputs and will get back to normal.

My main belt broke while driving home, had car towed home we replaced the belts and car will not turn over its as if low battery but used another working battery so what else could it be

What type of vehicle? Which type of belts?('V-belts or the wider (~1inch) multi-grooved Serpentine belt)
Your broken belt may have hit something when it broke. Does it click-click-click, or no responce to 'start' possition at key?
Might have knocked large battery cable, or small starter wire loose (or cut it 'open'), or some ground-wire, or ignition wire, or module/harness connector loose.

2005 Stratus Sedan dies while driving

Most likely the fuel pump. Pumps have many symptoms and this is one. Once the fuel gets warmed up the pump will slow down or just stop. After the fuel cools down, the pump returns to working. Next time it happens use a soft hammer or some like it to hit the bottom of the tank, approximately where the fuel pump is located. This jars the pump and usually it will start back up.. Change the pump.

Dodge Stratus dies while driving

Sounds very much like your fuel pump is done for. After it runs for a bit it starts to get hot & quiets working once it cooled down it started working again. This is very common but more frequent if fuel in tank is low. It realy will take a fuel system test to verify.

I have a 1989 Chevy c1500 that keeps stalling? Details below. Any advice for trouble shooting or what parts could be causing this??

sounds like your fuel pump, is on its last leg. (in tank) dropping your tank is never fun so cut an access hole in your bed, above where your fuel pump is located, its an 1989, so what the hell. its so much easyier. make the opening 12''square. note: there is a ground strap, make sure its attached from pump to fill pipe. study locations of fuel hoses, etc., be careful when removing lock ring, and fuel pump , a repair manuel would be helpful. good luck

Olds ciers 93 ... stalls, and mechanics can't solve help

I would look to see if you got a broken ground wire!!! witch are a big thing on todays computered cars. I know you have dumped a lot of money in your lawn ornament but one unhooked or dirty ground wire not making a connection can reak havick with everything, I would chk.for ground issues like around the fuel tank and where they hook to engine to body to frame or k-member.

Trouble

first of all thanks for all the information too many times you dont get enough info to correctly identify the problem so kudos.
i realy think your right one your fuel pressure. but you need to check the pressure dont just replace parts. it could be a bad fuel pump or fuel filter . you didnt say what the plugs looked like . were they black( a sign of over fueling and a bad regulator) or bright white (from lean burn) you could also hace an intake gasket leaking that would cause the lean burn,
