Use WD-40 rust inhibitor spray. Let it soak for a while, repeat a few times and it should break loose.

My front brake pads keep holding up...when I drive they get really hot and wont release...what's the deal?

Your brake caliper or your brake hardware is sticking. Pull it apart(two bolts) and push the caliper back in with a spreader or a c-clamp. The grease the brake hardware(where the bolts go in). That might do the trick. If you have a hard time getting the caliper peston back in then you need to replace it and bleed the brake system.

How to replace front disc pads

Jack up the front end remove tire onthe brake pad assembly there will be two Hex head bolts these will be probably a 3/8 u can use a big Alan wrench u will also need a small pipe to use a breaker bar and some WD 40 as these bolts are probably rusted just a bit, once u have the bolts out u should be able to remove the brake pad assembly,u might need a rubber malet to help with this,OK u got this off take the new brake pads out of the boxs, pay speial attention to the back of them, now take a big screw driver a pry just one of the brake pad off if u do the side with the caliber on it,(this is the round thing that pushes the brake pad on to the disk to stop the car)There is a clip take this clip off look that the back of the brake pad find the new brake pad that has the same notches in it put the clip on it the same way it came off put it back on the caliber,ok take the other one off, nothice the clip might be made in to the brake pad assembly on this side if not put clip in to same notches,Ok now u have replace the brake pads u will notice that the brake assembly will not go back on, not to fear take a Clean rag place it on the pad on the caliber side get a pair of channel locks now compress the caliber abit now it should side right on replace bolts and u are good to go do other side the same way.

How do you remove the front disc brakes?

To remove the front disc brakes , you must remove the break caliber assembly . Keep in mind that on some brake calipers a special Torx Drive T40 or T45 must be used to remove the caliber bolts from the spindle assembly . Also , Allen (Hex) bolts are sometimes used . Be sure you have the right tools .
1. Properly block both rear wheels at the front in the back of each wheel.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on both front wheels one turn on each nut.
3.Jack up and support the front of the car on Jack stands with the wheels one to 2in. off the ground.
4. Remove the two bolts on the inside of the caliber the secure it to the spindle .
5.Once the bolts have been removed the caliber should pull straight away from the rotor and spindle assembly .
6.Remove your old brake pads , clean the assembly , properly lubricate the moving parts as necessary , especially the floating sleeve as the assembly is called a floating caliber which means half of the Caliper is bolted to the spindle (inner) but the other half floats (outer).
7.Use a large see clamp centered between the caliper piston and caliper housing to push the piston all the way back into the caliber cylinder by turing (1 turn at a time) the screw until the piston is flush with the caliber face .
8. Install your new brake pads .
9. use the reverse procedure to assemble everything back together. Good luck and be safe....

Removing calipers from a 1997 T-Bird..

Those bolts should be allen head bolts and NOT torx (star shaped). With a torx bit in that hole all u will do is mess up a torx bit and the flats for the allen wrenches to grab onto. Try using a 10 or 12 mm( cant remeber which it is) allen head wrench.

Front calibers keep locking up on my 96 dodge dakota 5.2

I would replace the rubber brake hoses at the calipers. They get damaged internally when the calipers are left hanging while replacing pads. I've seen too many garages and shops do it not knowing what is going on inside the hose.

Caliber bolts are stuck

If that is the problem...put your allen wrench or socket on the bolt. Then put a CRECENT wrench on that end of your ratchet....you need leverage....trust me, it will break loose.
