Inside the plastic housing on the passenger side of the engine compartment - plastic housing has to be cut open and fan removed - not a job for the first timer - need a dremel or good cutting tool to do a good job on the housing - check a Haynes manual for a little better info

On the 98 Explorer the resistor is attached to the blower motor or the evaporator casing. In order to get to it remove the blower motor.Be very careful not to damage the blower wheel.Take the wire connector off ,then remove the 2 screws holding the resistor to the blower or evaporator casing to the right of the blower motor.

How do I replace the blower motor on a 89 olds 98

Generally the blower motor is located under the glove compartment. If this is the case you have to take the unscrew the nuts that connects to the blower assembly. Once you have done this. Remove the old blower and replace with the new one.

My 98 intrigue a/c and heater blower stopped blowing

This could be caused by a fuse being blown or the blower motor itself could be faulty. I would start by checking all your fuses which can be located under you drivers side dash and under the hood of your vehicle. If this does not rectify the problem you will need to replace or have the blower motor replaced. It's located under your passenger side dash usually behind the glove compartment in a plastic housing that must be removed before you can gain access to the blower motor itself.

My blower fan stopped working

I just had this problem on my 98 tracer. Turned out to be the resistor for the blower motor. It was located under the passenger side dash next to the motor. Three screws held mine in. Simple plug and play. Check a manual in Autozone or Pep Boys for your model and it will show you where it is. $15 fix and 5 minutes. Any Ford dealer will have the part.

Heater fan will not run

check the heater blower motor resistor not entirely sure where it is on your vehicle but they are always located near the fan in the heater box
you may also want to check the fan speed switch as well as the heater fuse in your fuse box
