SOURCE: master cylinder is leaking
It can cause you to loose brake pressure making it impossible to stop leading to you losing control and crashing I recommend you have it fixed soon!

You should be able to get a rebuilt or aftermarket master cylinder for a reasonable price at any parts store.
You can also buy a rebuild kit but it's probably not worth it as it's a lot more work and takes much more in the way of skill and tools to complete the job.
