This is a component issue ,,there will be no way to know which one without a diagnostic scanner. Plan on paying a couple hundred if your lucky but if its an internal solenoid issue plan on at least doubling that amount.

It sounds like it just need a good service as the parts do wear and the oil loose its lubrication properties, it does have high mileage so have it checked. Might need some top up on the oil. I take it is a auto box.

just drop the transmission pan to drain it and the filter is right there in the valve body,DON'T mess the band adjustment, they are only to stop the planetary gears so you can go into reverse, there is no such thing as adjusting bands! that went out with the fifties!

Transmission slipping

Did you check the trans oil level. When you changed
the RADIATOR you will loose some trans oil.
If the transmission oil was low when you changed
the radiator it's lower now. Check it now.
Now, if thats not the problem. With that many miles
have you changed the trans oil lately theirs a filter
above the trans oil pan that may be pluged up change
it and the oil. Also, buy a can of trans X it's the only fix
in a can stuff I"LL use.
