Located on the frame rail, just below drivers seat. you'll need to go buy a set coupling wrenches from the autopart store. Tell them what your doing and they'll know what your talking about. The wrenches are color coded for what size line. make sure you keep the lines elevated once you got them disconnected.

Where is fuel filter for 2004 freestar?

Inside the frame rail, about 3/4 of the way back, about the size of a coke can. May have a guard that hides it.
It is underneath the van on the driver's side near the rear edge of the driver's door. Follow the fuel line coming out of the gas tank to it.

My ford freestar 2004 wont start it is nit getting fuel changed the fuel pump and still fuel wont go thru

Change the fuel filter and check two items.
1. Check to see if your fuel pump relay is good, you can do this by swapping say the a/c relay for it and the fuel pump for the a/c. If ac doesn't work but the van will run then you need to replace the relay.
2. in the event of a crash, you have what is called a emergency fuel cut-off switch which is usually located in the kick panel on the drivers side. Make sure it hasn't been tripped or better yet gone bad.

My 2004 ford freestar van is hesitating going down the road. i change the egr valve . could it be the fuel filter

most likely not the fuel filter- try plugs and wires... could be a number of things, if the vehicle runs fine while in park and doesnt hesitate, most likely is sprk plugs and wires or a transmission problem...

disconnect battery overnight. It will clear codes if you don't have the scan tool. It may run rough for a few miles while it relearns your car's routines.

Please rate as fixya if this solves your issue.
