It's either the pump or the belt or both. It could be as easy as checking the level of your power steering fluid but if this isn't the case then you can always just go and get a repair manual and start on one of these two issues. I highly doubt that your lines have deteriorated in the last 3 or 4 years.

How does Chevy dealer add power steering fluid to the 2007 Chevy Malibu sealed unit?

Are you sure it has Hydraulic Power Steering ? Could have Electronic Power Steering ! What engine does yours have ? If it is hydraulic it isn't sealed , would have a fluid Reservoir ! Look up under dash drivers side , will see a electric motor on the steering column .

Does a 2007 chevy malibu v6 have. Power steering fluid resevoir under the hood

If the car has power steering, there will be a reservoir somewhere under there. On your car the reservoir is physically attached to the power steering pump. See photo attached.

I can't figure out where to put power steering fluid in my 2004 chevrolet malibu

the 2004 malibu does not have a place to put transmission fluid it has a electric power steering system and does not use fluid, if you are having a problem with the power steering light chimming and lighting up this is under a recall that chevy has obligated to fix. So if your car is doing this take it to your local chevy dealership and have them to repair it for you. Hope this helps.
