Start with making sure it is full of freon. Are both lines coming from and to the evaporator cold?

I charged the Freon couple weeks ago. it was working fine till my battery died. replaced battery been doing it ever since. Little history, this has happend before, took it to a buick dealership 5 or so years ago and he was able to just stick the dual climate control where it wont move but said it may not hold. "if memory serves" Anyway i would like to fix my self just like to know where to start, can i get to it from under the dash or will i have to tear into it.

    Thanks in advance

You can access the temp door motors under the dash for one and behind the glove box for the other. So are both lines cold to the evaporator? When you unhook the battery the temp controls will do a relearn. Try setting both sides to both cold and unhook the battery again for a couple of minutes.

I have a 2007 Toyota Highlander Limited and when I turn on the heat, air comes out of all the vents, but it comes out hot on the driver side and cold on the passenger side, even on the defrost vent.

Assuming you have a dual climate control system, the blend door actuator for the passenger side has stopped working and would need to be replaced

2010 F150 Lariat. Dual climate control works only on passenger side. Rear temperature controls work fine. Driver side or left vents only blow hot air. Regardless if AC is turned on or temperature...

If the driver's blend door actuator has failed completely, or the wiring to it is damaged, you will not hear any clicking. Check for appropriate voltage at the blend door actuator, and determine from there if it's the actuator or the control unit.

Why does 1 side of dash blow hot and the other cold when ac is on with the dual climate control?

Check the actuator motor on the heater it directs the air into the vents. There is probably two of them be sure to check both. The motor makes the vents move and again directs the air where you want. Hope this helps.

2004 2500 6.0 Silverado ac blows HOT on alternate sides of vehicle while in Auto A/C mode.

Douglass, Your A/C may have lost it's programming, blend door actuator could be faulty or A/C could be low on refrigerant. You may have to take in and have a good Tech. diagnose and estimate repair.

Heat comes thru driver's side vents, but blows cold air thru passenger side vents

You likely have a faulty blend door. It could be electrically, mechanically related, or even a broken door. It may be the blend door motor, or possibly the temp sensor.

2003 chevy trailblazer blows cold air on passenger side and hot air on driver side

Sounds like a blend door actuator failure,11_24_2012_3_52_06_am.jpgMight as well replace both sides

The two vents on driver side of car blows hot air when air conditioning is on

I believe that your Seville has dual climate controls. So it sounds like a "Blend Door Actuator" problem. It's stuck and so it's not adjusting the mix of warm or cold air; that's how temperatures are controlled in your A/C heat system. Fault code(s) stored in the HVAC control module should be available to assist with diagnoses. AutoZone will perform a free diagnostic scan.

I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The drivers side blows hot air and the passenger side blows cold air. The car has that dual zone climate control. I have no clue where to start.

The actuator that 'blends' cold with hot is stuck in the cold position. There are a couple of options. Disconnect the battery, then drive the vehicle around without using the AC for 10 min, if the AC is defaulted to come on after a battery interuption, then shut the car down then turn it on again. You are trying to get the electronic actuator to reset and resume proper function. Another option is to try this: Start the car, adjust the pax side full hot, drivers full cold, wait 30 sec then shut car down, then start car back up and reverse the settings, pax full cold, drivers full hot. In both solutions, the vent actuators are stuck at either the full open or full closed, so you are trying to get it to 'self check' and allow them to resume proper function. After two years, I simply removed them altogether since I live where it is hot an only need just fine....

The driver side vents are blowing hot air as if the heater is on but the thermostat is set on 65 and the passenger side is blowing cold air as it does normally.

Its called "AC Vent Door Actuator" when this fail they will stay open or Closed, this will happen on vehicles that have Dual Climate control. You can Google it just type Year, make ,model and AC vent door actuator after that. It will definetly have to be replaced. Good Luck.
