SOURCE: 2000 Sienna Change Plugs and Timing Belt

Ijust did the spark plugs and believe me the front ones are piece of cake, but the rear ones, let me tell you, if you know about mechanics, go for it. There is alot of stuff to remove, including the intake plenum, and those spark plug wires casing that is another story. My best advise is if you have a couple of hundred dollars, that is your best choice. As far as the timing belt goes, pay a car shop, there is probably twice or three times more work involved than changing the spark plugs. siennas were designed to be worked on once or twice every five years (major work of course).

I hope this doesn't dissapoint you

Good luck mate

SOURCE: power steering belt on 1991 toyota camry

Locate the idler pulley. Loosen the nut in the center of the idler pulley. Then loosen the bolt that protrudes from the back of the pulley. This will let the belt go slack.

SOURCE: toyota sienna interior lights not working

The problem is in the sunvisor light. You will have to take the light assembly off and you will find wires have become disconnected.

Electric power steering typically require less maintenance and are more fuel efficient.

How to turn off 2000 toyota sienna seat belt light?

Mine and a friend's 2000 Sienna have the same issue. The only way I've found is to cover the light with a sticker. It's not a fix, but it stops the distraction while driving. Good luck, and post back if you find a better way!

2005 toyota sienna minivan awd sometimes had loud

Hello and thank you for asking me, the most common cause for this is a loose/slipping power steering belt so it should be inspected and adjusted or possibly replaced. This engine has two drive belts, one for the alternator and a/c and another one for the power steering, if one is worn or loose it's best to replace both belts. Let me kno wif you have any more questions or additional info.

Serpentine belt is getting noisy on my daughters 2005 Toyota Sienna 3.3 liter V-6, and I notice there are two belts that are both very close to the fender. It looks to me like there is not a spring loaded...

You are correct, there is no automatic tensioner for either belt. The linked YouTube video provides good guidance for replacing the belts - more so for the top one. To replace the lower belt, remove the right front tire and the splash shield to get to the lower part of the engine for the power steering belt.

How do you get a power steering belt off of a 2004 Toyota Sienna? can't figure how to release tension pulley.

The tension pullies are usually spring loaded so if you need to have the belt replaced there should be a nut on the pulley that you have to put a socket and a long bar on to relieve the tension while you remove the belt.
Hope this helps

Main Belt that drives the steering pump slips when you hit a small amount of water

usually the slipping means you need to adjust the belt tension. My 2000 Toyota Sienna has a serpentine belt with an automatic tensioner but also has a belt to the steering pump that you have to manually set the tension on. You have to loosen the bolts holding the steering pump(You don't want to remove the bolts all the way though.), adjust the belt tension by a adjusting bolt then retighten the bolts holding the steering pump. I am not sure that is the same with your car though.

Hope this helps

Hi, first thing is to check the power steering pump reservoir to see if its empty. if so, fill to specs. if the problem still exist, make sure the power steering belt is tight and is free spinning and the pulley is working as well.
