Might be possible fault with the inside of your gearbox depends on if u brought the car new and how long the fault has been like this. my advice would be to take to your garage or ring up a mercedes dealer and get them to look over it

I.just fixed the transmission shift solenoid on my 2000 Chevyblazer and now there is a shift delay..... What's wrong

Which shift solenoid was replaced and for what reason. When is delay happening (what shift sequence, what gear to gear change and what rpm's does it happen). These are needed to begin diagnosis of issue.

2008 wrangler, won't start and can't move gear battery. Not long ago. 23,000 miles

With the truck not running, but the key on move the shift lever through the sequence - f the fuse blows you have a wire getting pinched by the shift mechanism. Trace the linkage and look for a scraped wire or squashed wire.
If it only happens when the engine is running a wire is rubbing on the engine or trans and look for the same - a scraped wire or squashed wire.

you can shift it at transmission by hand to neutral or park and have someone inside start the car and you manually put in gear under hood and drive it to shop or garage, wherever

Can you engaged the Automatic gears into manual whiles driven?

It will have the answer in the owners manual but if you have a auto shift pattern that allows you to move the lever side ways from drive all this does is by pass the auto sequence and locks the box in the gear you have selected until you select the change. Like fixing the gear in a low gear so that you can go down steep inclines and use less brake letting the engine do the work Check it out at a dealer any way

Transmission problem in E230 Benz

What you need to check is the transmission release bearing because if there is a clearance on the release bearing you will encounter this problem and also check the transmission oil.

Haven't used 4Lo for about 8 years and can't remember thew sequence to put it in 4Lo - is it gear in neutral then shift or is it keep moving and then put in 4 Lo ?

shift from 2wh to 4hi to neutral then 4lo all while in drive and moving slowly. The owners manual and repair books say you can actually damage the transfercase if the jeep is parked. You can go into 4hi at any driving speed, just not too fast!
