The ac system in your vehicle can be charged from low pressure port. The low pressure port of the A/C system usually has a blue or black dust cap and is located either on the larger diameter metal tubing typically found between the evaporator and compressor, on the compressor itself, or on the receiver drier (orifice tube systems only). The high pressure service port is found either on the smaller diameter tubing or the compressor and is larger in diameter. Only charge through the low pressure port. Thanks. On a 2004 chevy venture where is the door that changes you inside air flow from heat hot air to ac cold air in the hvac systerm

There is a small motor called an actuator that moves the paddles in the heater to direct the heat or ac. If this motor does not run and switch the paddles then you will not get the heat or ac you want. The actuator motor is on the side on the heater normally in the center or on the end by the drivers feet.

Does the rear ac line have it own recharge system

No it doesn't. You'll have to add refrigerant. dual systems just take more.

Im front ac works great but my rear ac blows hot air

probably needs freon. Add a can of R134a and see if it helps. they both run off same system but rear has exapnsion valve (more sensitive to low charge) than front fixed orifice tube design.

Is there a sepreat charging valve for the rear ac front works great back blows hot air

no, there is one service port for the ac system itself, make sure that the actuator doors are functioning properly and that all control knobs are set for cool air, your problem lies somewhere between the the two airducts that connect from the main source of cool air,

Air compressor was replaced on our duel air for our 2000 dodge caravan sport. The rear air is warm while the front is cooler (not as cool as it could be). Is this a problem with the compressor or was it...

you are right on all of your theories.

if the rear ac is not cooling , it could be under charged or was not charged properly, it could be a proble with the used compressor that you used.

to add to those theories,,,

the rear expansion valve could be clogged and needs replacing,
the filter drier could be clogged up too,
the controller at the back could be malfunctioning,
an electrical controller for the rear cooler could be defective ..

tnx 4 using fixya.
