Ac stops running on hot conditions this indicates few possibilities. Check the refrigerant level in the compressor of car ac.If its low then car will compressor will overheat and stops running. Also check the coolant level. If its low then it needs to be full. Also check if there any leak of the coolant.Get the ac pressure test done.It can be done at any local car garage. This will confirm whether there is refrigerant or coolant leak in the system causing the ac to stop after sometime. If coolant and refrigerant all checked OK.Then the thermostat needs to be checked. When the car temperature reaches certain temp the cooling fan turn on and cools the thermostat. But if the cooling fan stopping after ac turns off then thermostat needs to be checked. Also connect the fan connections to car battery and check if the fan is running directly.Check the voltage at fan terminals. It should show exact 12 volt.If less then that then fan is faulty and needs replacement. If fan tested OK then thermostat needs to be checked and replaced. Also check the coolant temperature sensor. If this sensor is not working then this will make the vehicle overheat and this will stop the ac and it stops running.---------- Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Thermostat or water pump?

Sounds like a thermostat is being sticky. A water pump issue should cause the vehicle to over heat quickly while driving if it is not pumping.

is your radiator fan running? The temperature going up like that is super dangerous for your engine. Given that you are getting "smoke or steam from the bottom of the engine" I think you are running hot, and blowing out coolant. The hope for solution is that the radiator fan isn't running, you can straight wire it to test if it runs. If it doesn't, get a new one asap. Don't drive this car until you can figure it out, or you will need a new engine... think $3000 or more

2004 Suzuki Forenza-changed antifreeze-now overheats-if I turn to the right temp gauge drops back to normal.

Did you bleed the air from the system? That must be done or the system developed air blocks and this causes it to run hot.

I cannot get the heater to blow hot air air condion works and will blow cold air

Try changing the thermostat. Usually, when this happens the thermostat is stuck shut. You will want to do this soon, as your car will eventually start to overheat. If the problem persists, replace the heater core, as it may be plugged.

Run truck and turn on A/C check condensor and see if clutch is engaging, if it is that part is good, know how many times does it engage in 1 minute if more than 3 l'd say your refridgerant has escaped and an A/C service will be required.... along with other parts, hole worn seals....

there is a point in operating temperature where the engine computer will cut the a/c compressor clutch to assist in avoiding overheating. When you go through another key cycle, this computer re-evaluates the temperature and allows a/c clutch operation once again if temperature is within operating range
