I need to replace the ignition switch in my car

There is an Ignition switch that is located under the dash. On the other hand if your referring to where the ignition key goes in then this part is called an ignition cylinder. If it is the ignition cylinder (or tumbler) then yes the steering wheel must be removed to replace this and you will need special tools to do it. I would not suggest doing this yourself with no experience as there are lots of small pieces and parts in there. The ingition switch is located under the dash on the steering column and has a wire harness attached to it with numerouse wires. This is replaced by removing 2 small bolts and unplugging it. There is a rod running down the column that goes into a slot on the back side of the ignition switch. It must be placed in the hole where the old old was and then the switch may need adjusting forward or back to properly work.
Hope this helps.

95 chevy k2500 randomly my blower motor doesnt work also when is not workin i cant engage 4x4 floor shift

It sounds to me that you may have a bad ignition switch. not the one on the steering wheel but the electrical part under the dash on the steering column itself.. look under dash at the steering column and see if you see a bunch of wires plugged into a plug on the side of the steering column, if so check first to make sure it still plugged in completely if not you may need a new switch which is bolted to the column with a couple small bolts.. try that.

I have a 2000 mitshubishi Galant when you push the button for the cruise control the light comes on the dash but when you try to set the cruise control at the speed you want it will not set. Any...

Cruise controls are primarily electronic, yet do operate off vacuum line(s) as well. I had this situation on a 2000 Subaru legacy wagon.. where the airbag light also lit up - which was a sure indication that it is what's called the clock spring within the steering wheel. You'd have to remove the steering wheel to be sure, and I am not certain of how to test it, or if there are any tests one could perform on it.
Best regards

I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus and it has started making a lot of noise when turning the steering wheel. It sounds like the noise ispossible coming from the front around the suspension area on the drivers...

it sounds like the power steering pump is crying for more fluid. stop by your local auto parts store and get some power steering fluid. you will see the reservoir for the fluid in the engine compartment - it is located on the pump motor and has a twist off cap and a small hot/cold fill dipstick. if the engine is cold - fill to the cold line and then start the car and drive and this should solve your problem.
have a Happy New Year !!!
