If this problem didn,t exist before pad replacement logic says look @ work performed if rotors were machined i have seen them improperly mounted on brake lathe and a warpage machined into them by doing this if rotors wasn,t machined overtorque of lug nuts can cause this exact problem if pads was replaced as an attempt to eliminate this problem they should cause this problem it is usually a run out problem or severely loose steering and suspension system

The problem did not exist before the pads were replaced. He did not machine or do anything to the rotors at all. Infact we asked, because the truck has 230,000 miles on it, same rotors. He's a guy that used to work at a shop many years ago and now does simple things out of his house. This SHOULD of been simple. He isn't sure what the issue is. We are going to buy new rotors (with that many miles, it's the best bet) and go from there.

this vehicle being a super duty should have four wheel disc brakes i would have rotors machined if there is enough material left to allow if not replace with quality part cheap rotors are just that cheap rotors they are not as thick and will warp sooner

thanks, that is the current plan. After we figure out why it won't start. It's like all that shaking has loosened a wire or something. You can thankfully push it and pop the clutch and it starts right up and runs like a top. So, more work to do, more work to do. Thanks y'all!

Not being sarcastic but, take it back, and tell mechanic to try it, so he can feel it. Did he replace or machine the rotors? Is it front discs and rear drums, or all disc pads?

SOURCE: abs light on

I'm a Ford service adviser. There are many reasons for the
abs warning indicator to come on. The usual cause is from a
faulty speed sensor. Either a wheel speed sensor or the
differential speed sensor. I don't think the light is related to your vandalism. You might want to take the truck to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for you. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.
Good Luck

SOURCE: 2000 ford f250 super duty 4x4 7.3L diesel oil leak

The HPOP (high pressure oil pump) is right under the filter housing. There are 2 lines that distribute the oil to the cylinder heads. The o-rings on those fittings go out. Kit is available from Ford or International. You will need a special wrench to get to the fittings though.

Have you looked at your anti lock braking system. It will give a pulsation when it is in use. You may have a problem with it and it is coming on prematurely. Listen when your truck is doing this and you should hear the humming of the antilock system if it is on. Otherwise i would ckeck your ball joints and tie rod ends for wear as this can cause a vibration back thru your braking system as well

In my oppinion Factory pads are far better than most aftermarket pads. You can rule out the rotors by taking them down to a mechanic that has a lave. once they start turning the rotors they will be able to tell if the rotors are warped. If your rotor thickness is under the factory minimum they could have become warped over time, which would explain why the problem got worse over time. In that case you need to purchase new rotors and have them machined. Just make sure you replace the old pads with new ones.
