Where is the low pressure port ?

That port would be located at the rear of the passenger side fender well under the hood. It's kind of against the firewall. Be carefull of moving parts as the front of the engine is right there. Good luck

Cant find the low port line on ac on a 2002 ford expedition i looked on all ac lines there is a green cap above the brake booster but that cant be it not a steel line its plastic and o

Hi, if your charge hose fits on the fitting under the green cap, then that is the right one. Plastic can handle the pressure on the low side. The low side port is always on the line that goes from the firewall to the compressor. So you can trace that line across the firewall and on to the compressor to make sure.

You tried to add refrigerant to the high side . How do you know it needs refrigerant ? You put to much in an it still won't cool . Why don't you take it to a qualified repair shop before you hurt yourself .

Where do I add the freon/refrigerant on a 2002 Ford Expedition?

on the low ressure line, there will be a nozzle that you connect the freon kit to. The kit will not fit on high pressure line.

Add freon

You have to locate the low pressure line and connector port. Trace the two lines back to the firewall that come from the compressor. You will find 1 port on each line. They are usually covered by a plastic cap of some type that unscrews. Your refill hose, assuming you have a standard refill can with attached gauge, will only attached to the low pressure side. The two ports are slightly different in size. The low pressure side should be the larger of the two lines you are tracing from the compressor.

Where is the freon refill located at in the ford 2000 expedition?

hi, the freon refill point you are looking for is on the accumulator. but you can't see it cause it's buried by the heater hoses, battery cables, and firewall mounted fuseblock. remove the fuse block cover, and get a bright flashlight, look just below the fuse block and you will see the cylindrical accumulator(aluminum canister looking) and the low side pressure port with the plastic cap on it.

Looking for low pressure side a/c hook up port

If you look on the passengers side, you will see a electric connector harness that fills the upper left firewall.
Beneath that wiring connector and back towards the passenger compartment is the black oblong A/C tank. On the black oblong tank is the low pressure fill port. You need either a regular Manifold gauge set with the longer hoses or a hose extension to have room to connect a can of Freon to the tank.

If Ford would have just reversed the position of those parts it would have helped.

Where is the low pressure vale for the expedition

The low port is hard to see. It is located on the silver canister (evaporator). Follow the freon lines to the canister toward the firewall, the low port is located on the (evaporator). Warm you engine and turn the air cond. on. Hold the can upside down, if the can frost over, wrap a warm cloth around the can. This will help to flow the freon into the system.

Where does the freon go for a 99 expedition

Hi .. I just ran into the same problem .. I have a 2000 Expedition with the 5.4L engine .. the low side port is located on the passenger side of engine compartment just below the black metal bracket that contains electrical connections right in front of the firewall... you have to reach under this and locate the low side (larger line) and feel for the connection .. it is right in front of the accumulator .. There are two heater hose that hide the port .. you have reach under these to unscrew the port cap which is black .. you'll have to do this by feel .. I have found that you can by R134A charge with dye and leak sealant helps with small leaks .. if the system takes more than two cans be usre to add refrig. oil .. hope this helps
