To do item #2 you need to purchase a manifold set and it cost over $180!
It's not a DIY weekend job.

My AC on my 1996 grand Marquis's will not turn on at all

Unfortunately all the reasons for this problem require an AC person.Low gas in the system will cause the low side pressure switch to pop out. No gas in the system will cause the same thing. To much gas will cause the high side pressure switch to cut out.The clutch on your AC compressor may not be engaging.Your compressor itself might be toast. So there is no simple answer to your question and this is not something that your average Joe can fix.You need to have the system checked to see if it has a leak somewhere and then attended to.sorry but I have no easy quick solution for you.You have to take it in somewhere. good luck

Saturn cuts off when trying to use the a/c

It could be more than one problem.
The cooling fan could be running because the temp sensor is sending the wrong signal to the computer.
The ac compressor or clutch could be bad causing a heavy load on the belt and the engine.
I would unplug the compressor clutch and see if the engine still bogs down with the ac engaged.

AC compressor cuts in and out and won't stay engaged?

that means there is not enough pressure/refrigerant in the system. add a can of r134 and it may stop doing it

Try adding refrigerant. Coompressor will not run if empty or too low.

My 1998 Ford Crown Victoria was running just fine when parked Thursday evening. Friday morning, the air condiioner compressor will not come on. The fan runs--everything else runs fine.

Hopfully it's a fuse, if not a fuse then check relay, if not the relay, then check the clutch on the coompressor, while the motor is off, check to see if the AC compressor clutch will turn freely, if not, replace the compressor.

Hi..I have 90 Celica GT model and I came to Autozone to pickup can of Freon to recharge my ac.. Autozone guy came out to check make sure compressor was working when I push the AC button. It was working...

Did you put freon in the car? If you did, and you have too much, there is a "high-pressure" cut off switch, and there is also a "low-pressure" cut off switch. So, if the freon is too little or too much, the AC is prevented from engaging. The best thing to do is take it to a guy who has freon pressure gauges; this is the only way to tell if the charge is correct or not.

Go to your local auto parts store and tell them what you need and they can give you a belt so you can bypass your ac pump.
