I have a 2000 licoln ls with the 3.9 v8. the engine all of a sudden lost all power and is now missing with a small rattling noise . what could this ber?

I know many Fords had an issue like this caused by a cam sensor. If not that it could be a valve spring. Has to be something bad enough to drastically effect the running but not drastic enough to keep it from running.

I think the starter has gone out on my licoln ls in order to get it to the shop they said i could go up under the car and start it from there but how?

Take a hammer and tap on the side of it while somelse tries to start it.If that does'nt work cross the solenoid from the switch post to the hot post with a screwdriver.

The fuel door release button does not work. I have to open with the release in the truck. I think it has just detached but do not know how to reattach. Can you help

Open glove box and look in the left top corner and you should see a black valet button. Press this then see if the fuel door release works then.
