Question about 2005 Dodge Caravan
If the service engine soon light goes on and stays on there is a hard code stored on the vehicle's computer. Have it scanned to determine what may be wrong with the car's emission control system or sensor on the engine.
All vehicles since 1996 must be OBD-II compliant, and you must find a technician that has the appropriate software on his scanner to be able to scan the computer correctly. The Dealership would probably be a good place to have this done, although some scanners go up to the year 2005 without a problem (like the scanner from Walmart which goes from 1996 to 2005 for most cars for about $98 plus tax).
