Misfire in #2 cylinder over 1500 RPMs 2006 Scion

I would try swapping coil #2 with on of the other ones and see if the misfire changes to the other cylinder. If it does you have a bad coil. If it stays on cyl.2 check the spark plug wire or fuel injector.

Dodge Ram 1500 - 2002 4.7

After my radiator blew, this all started..

The truck runs well if you don't accularate quickly but
if I try to excellerate (Kickdown) at 3000rpm`s it doesn't take it,

I had verious codes when I put the OBD on the motor, so far I have changed the following parts
8 New full injectors,
map sensor,
cleaned all wires,
verified and cleaned the spark plugs
Verified all the wiring, grounds, etc.

Could it be the trottle body, transmission sensor (cellenoide sensor) or other.

Any suggestions would help

thank you all in advance

My 98 mazda lantis idles up and down once the vehicle gets hot i cleaned the trottle body changed spark plugs changed plug wires change distributor cap the rotor seems to be fine what else could this...

It is a fuel problem. The engine is 'hunting' and needs to be set up in a diagnostics machine, especially if it is fuel injected. If it is normally aspirated you might get away with blowing compressed air through all the accessible channels and ports, including the volume control screws. Screw them all the way in, counting the number of half turns so that they can be reset to the same setting.

1988 5 speed Honda Accord

Ensure your spark plugs, wires (ignition coil and spark) and your filters (air and fuel) are within 2 years of installation It's erratic at 800 rpm as the engine is cold and they like the 2200 range for 3 minutes before they kick down on their own. Press the pedal twice before inserting your key. The owners manual states depending on the outside temperature, the engine will require more priming. Update if possible.

Car wont start but will crank dont know what it is

There are several things that can cause this to happen.
1) crank sensor has failed, it will result in no spark at the plug and no injector pulse.
2) Fuel pump circuit has failed, this could be caused by a blown fuel pump fuse, bad relay, vehicle security system failure or a failed fuel pump.
3) Ignition module failure, causing a no spark at the spark plug only.

Is or has the service engine light been on lately while driving?
If so, the vehicle would be scaned for trouble codes and will give a clue as to what the problem might be.

I put a new starter on my galant,it ran for about 15min. and stop. now itseem like it not getting gas to turn the motor... i didn't hear my fuel pump so i replace it as well, and it still seem to not...

We will definitely want to check the firing order.

Some other misfire issues with this vehicle specifically:

  • Engine is misfiring under load Seems to be switching cylinders.\
    1. Check the spark output to each plug and at different RPMs, make sure there is a consistent spark at all RPMs of at least 1/2 inch, the color should be white/blue. If the spark is weak or is erratic, replace the distributor. It is very common to get defective remanufactured distributors.

    2. Check compression on all cylinders.

    3. Try to add fuel to the engine to see if the misfire goes away. If it does it is a fuel system/injector problem.

  • Scan vehicle for possible injector problems (if problem found do the following)
  • 1. Try swapping the injector with one of the other ones. If the miss follows the injector, replace it. If not, check for leaking valves.

1. Verify that the spark output is OK from each coil. To test one coil pack, remove the two spark plug wires from the spark plugs. Install two adjustable spark testers and set the gap to 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each tester. Start the engine and make sure that the spark can jump across both spark testers at the same time. Test the other coil the same way.
2. Monitor the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) and the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) while driving. Both should output a 5 volt square wave signal.
3. Make sure that the fuel trim information is close to 0 on the long-term and the short-term fuel trim. Plus or minus 10% would still be considered normal.

Let me know, if need further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

1999 chevy venture will not start could it be the fuel injector or what could be the problem?

There are many things that can cause a vehicle to not start.
1. No spark to spark plugs
2. No fuel injector function
3. Low / no fuel pressure.
And there are many things that can cause a loss of either one of these things. A bad fuel injector would not cause this.
