Check for 12-volts at the blower motor. If 12 volts is present, replace the blower motor. If not, check for a faulty relay or fan switch, if you need help finding the relay, please let me know will be glad to help. thewrightimport@gmail.com

I took blower motor out and check and works the problem is there is no ground

  • Jtemelcoff Aug 06, 2010

Ive checked the schematics on the blower motor, i cant see why there would be no ground. If the motor is not grounded, how did you get the motor to run when you tested it, just wondering.

I removed motor and bench tested the fan always has positive power so must work when its being controlled by ground

Blower moter on heater does not work

Aside from the obvious fuse or relay in power supply, it could be the blower switch, resistor pack usually located in heater box that contols speed, or the blower motor itself. Unplug wires to blower and measure batt. voltage with switch on. If voltage present, use ohmmeter to test blower resistance. No resistance, motor burned out. Check wiring for a cut/brake in circuit.

Limited heat

first, check the fuse for the blower motor. If ok, you may have a bad switch or bad blower motor. If you are a techie, you should jumper 12 volts to the blower motor hot terminal. see if it blows then. You also have a blower motor resister that gives you the 4 blower speeds, but usually when it fails, you have high speed only.

good luck
