I have a hole in my engine how much does it cost to get a new engine for a 2000 camry le 4 door

That depends, are you going to put it in? Or buy one installed? There is a place on line that sells nothing but engines. JDM, I think, He has your engine for $900, app. We bought one from him, it worked great, no problem fit right in, fired right up, no problem whatsoever. We couldn't believe it, we were expecting to be making 20 trips to the parts store and killing ourselves trying to figure this thing out. Anyway, a shop will charge you big bucks for the motor swap. I would say about $3500 up, Hope this helps.

How did you get a hole in your engine? And how big is it? Is water coming out? Or oil?

What is the typical temperature reading for a 99 Pontiac Grand Am gt?? Im not used to V6 and wondering if I should worry about where it sits... Getting ready for a long road trip next weekend.

the fan kicks on at about 212 degrees, it should run about 195 to 200 degrees. if its hotter then this you have to change the thermostat. I have a 3.1 v6 and it runs a line or two past the half, all warmed up. hope this helps!!

In the 91 toyota camry there is a button you you

Its time for a new cylinder lock/ key. try a spare key and see if its also hard to start,if so try sparying a little wd 40 into the lock and then work the key and turn off and on a few times, maybe the tumbler are just sticking but if this doesnt work then the lock will have to be replaced. its a matter of time before you get stuck and also its more labor time to replace that cylinder when the key wont turn anymore. hope this helps.

OVER HEATING AND PERFORMANCE ISSUES

hi, I have a 91 Nissan Terrano 2dr TD27 engine
When I first got the car all was good apart from the turbo coolant hoses needing a bit of TLC.
I am now having overheating problems which have progressivley got worse, to the point of which i drive on the road more than 20 min and it starts to get up there in heat.
I have removed the viscous fan and replaced it with an 16 inch thermo fan with a temp switch, and still have the same problem, I have had it off road since and if I dont put my foot down its not as bad like if i just cruise or some thing but if I try to climb a dune i get half way and temp is almost on 3/4.

The other issue i have with the old girl is its so gutless its not even funny, I have put a boost control in as well as boost guage, and the most i get out of it is 6psi and im sure thats not normal.

if any1 can give me any info that would be great
Thanks Neil

Dies after starting..

Possibly bad throttle position sensor or other sensor, but most likely throttle positon senosr may need to be cleaned. If you have a vacuum operated actuator on the tranny, you should use a vacuum tester and make sure it is not leaking. Have you changed tranny filter? Did you get a flush done?

20 year old vacuum hoses are done. Replace all you can. The little plastic ones too. They control everything, transmission, computer, fuel, brakes, everything.
