There is no fuse specially for them - they are powered from the instruments fuse. If all lights are off then most likely the dimmer switch has failed and must be replaced. To access it to test and replace it it's a quite complicated job for which you must remove the wheel covers - this is not something that you can do in the middle of the night.
Wait till tomorrow and work calmly, you don't want to mess it even further.

The lights from the dash don't have a fuse of their own, they are powered by another common fuse. If everything else works as it should work then the problem is with the next part that controls them - the dimmer switch.

CAN I BYPASS THE HOT WIRE FROM THE DIMMER SWITCH TO DASH LIGHTS SO I CAN SEE AT NIGHT WHILE WAITING FOR SWITCH TO COME IN. I FIGURE ITS A DEALER ITEM.
IS THE DASH LIGHTS WILL BURN OUT IF I DIRECT THE 12 VOLTS FROM THE SWITCH TO THE DASH LIGHTS. IS THE DASH LIGHT AND THE SHIFT GEAR LIGHT ARE CONNECTED TOGETHER BECAUSE ALL THE LIGHTS ARE ALL OFF. IF I BYPASS THE SWITCH, WILL THE DASH LIGHT STAY ON AT DAY AND NIGHT WHILE THE ENG RUNNING. PLEASE HELP

Of course you can jump the switch , the lights will be just fine, except that, because they will be constantly on , they will age a lot quicker and if you wait too long for the switch you may end up with some burned bulbs to replace.

2001 dodge grand caravan. Instrument cluster illumination is out. Back linghting on radio dial is also out. Drive gear letters and milage is still lit. Can't find a fuse box other than teh big black...

the fuse panel inside the car is under the dash on the driver`s side behind a cover,i think it will swing down if you release the catch, check all these fuses and the fuses under the hood in that big black box.make sure that you or someone has not moved the dimmer switch to the off position first.these do have a problem with the relay box going bad due to corrosion on the under side of the box.

Where is the fuse box on a 2003 Toyota Corolla?

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The fusebox for an 03 Corolla is on the driver's side of the dash, above the plastic panel that is above your knees. You can see it by looking up and to the left, under the instrument pane, with a flashlight. It is a rather large white or cream-coloured box (depending on where the car was produced). An easier way to get to the fuses would be to remove the plastic trim panel that is directly under the bottom of the instrument panel.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance today.

Where are the fuses located inside the 91 Toyota Camry?

There are three fuse panels. The passenger side fuse box is right behind the passenger side kick panel. The main fuse and relay block is near the battery in the engine compartment. The Instrument panel fuse box is on the left side of the steering column on the dashboard.

The PCm (cars computer) is nolonger working correctly. its a loss of communication issue. Back to the dealer you have to go possibly for a new computer and to have it reprogrammed. First tho, Check ALL the fuses under the hood and under the driver side dash board area. Most likely will be in the box under the hood.

Fuse Problems

Could be tail fuse, fuse block located on inside drivers side close to hood lock. Are your instrument panel lights on?If they are it's not the fuse, you know there is an adjustment switch above radio towards drivers door that adjust how dim or bright your instrument lights are.Lastly it could be a bulb that burned out under shifter casing.

Tail lights don't work on 1998 Chevy Silverado.

check the wiring from the tailights back to the fuse panel, it sounds like an open connection. if i recall correctly check under the dash on the drivers side near the fuse panel for a bunch of wires in a bundle and look carefully for a wire or two that are cut/shorted/or seperated, you can also check under the drivers side kick panel by the hood release.
