I WOULD CHECK YOUR FAN OPERATION. MAKE SURE THAT WHEN THE A/C IS ON YOUR FAN IS WORKING. MAKE SURE THE FAN CONNECTION IS ALSO GOOD AND FAN IS RUNNING PROPERLY. DID U CHECK YOUR COOLANT LEVEL.

Sounds like the water pump is cavitating . Replace water pump. Check coolant level also. Open the bleeder valve usually located on thermostat housing to remove air from system. close valve when coolant is present while filling. close radiator cap and top off recovery bottle to correct level. These engines are prone to overheating, do not let temp gauge get in the red.

Ref Toyota the temp gauge shows normal but bottom hose is still cold upto thermostat but hot the other side i had to drive 50 miles for botom hose to warm up

hi, this is completely normal.. engines are designed to runn hot so your thermostat will keep all of the hot water inside the engine block untill it gets to opperating temp.. if you think it is taking too long you can change the thermostat because they are known to be a little faulty at times and they can get stuck open or closed but if your engine is not overheating and if it stays at a fairly normal temp on a very long drive then i think it is fine

Warm the engine up to operating temperature. Does the upper radiator hose get warm? If no, then cange the thermostat. If yes, then the thermostat is working fine. On the thermostat housing, there is a sensor. Some engines have 2 sensors. One goes to the computer and the other goes to the temp needle in the dash. Unplug the harness and put a jumper wire in the harness. Turn the key to on, and see if the temp needle goes up. Which ever harness causes the needle to go up, replace that sensor. Hope this helps.
