Could be your air temp sensor. Its cool in tha AM and hot in the afternoon. Your van may think its 200 degrees out side and adjusts fuel / timing acordingly. Hope this helps

Runs great but sometimes after a hour starts missing and shuts off.

Not positive but sounds like coil pack. There is a liquid coolant in em and if it gets a crack in it then it over heats easy. So after it gets hot it stops working. Then it cools back down and works right. Just basing this on other cars I have worked on. Some have two wires per coil. When it starts running bad pull one of the wires off and seee if it runs the same or worse. And if it is the coil you should be able to trace down the one that is bad. Just trying to help.

I have an 01 gmc with a cylinder 8 misfire I checked plug looked good only a month old I changed fuel filter and coil pack used one tho seem to have good continuity on plug wire fuel in the filter looked...

If your engine is the "vortex" engine, the it is most likely an injector. I have had to clean the injectors on numerous occassions to clear a misfire code. You have a "spider" injection system. There is a central unit and 8 injector tubes that run off that unit. the tips like to clog with junk.

2002 madza protege 4 cyl had new ignition coils, wires, plugs and egr valve, fuel system clean out but still wont start after cold damp night and sitting 8-16 hours. After day warms up to 50-60 it starts...

Symptoms are indicative of a partially broken wire somewhere, the cold increases the resistance in the wires and if they aren't working at 100% to start with, will cause your problem. I think you are on the right track, I would replace any high tension parts not already new then start looking for wires showing a high resistance. Check and clean ( with contact cleaner aerosol ) any and all electrical plugs in your ignition system. I would try drying out your computer and packing around it with silica gel to keep it dry.
Good luck

Your cat should last quite a while now it is replaced. I recommend testing coil packs and module. Change plugs and wires and double check your vacuum hoses.

1992 Camry 4 Cyl - 1 plug very oily and fouled out

with the car being as old as it is. it is very possible fhat the injector is plugged. the only way to find this out is to place it. then if you still have the same problem with the plug getting oily. theres a good chance the rings in that cylinder are going out and letting to much oil through fouling out the plug
