make sure you bleed the air out of the system on the top left hand side of the radiator or the car will overheat due to air lock

SOURCE: 92 Subaru Legacy Power Windows Don't Work

I have a 92 that did the same. After checking fuses and the relay(located under drivers seat) I discovered that the power windows control module on drivers door was bad. Went to a salvage and bought a used for $40, pulled the door panel, unscrewed and unplugged the old one, put in the used one and everything worked fine. About a week later, the passenger side motor went out and replaced that with a used power window motor. All windows now work fine.

SOURCE: 92 subaru legacy. Installed new water pump, now car won't start.

No spark on #1 spark plug wire? What about the others? Check it right at the coil to eliminate a faulty plug wire.

Have a subaru 1992 impreza wrx its leaking water heard it is the water pump can you tell me where abouts is the water pump or does the water pump have a gasgett on it

The water pump will have a pulley attached to it with at least one belt running through the pulley. It will be the one item that does not seem to do anything under the hood (it may have the cooling fan attached but I don't know your make/model) You can tell if the pump is leaking because it has a small hole at the top of the shaft where the pulley connects and coolant will appear at the "weep hole" if it is going bad. There is a gasket at the point where the pump joins to the engine block but those rarely go bad by themselves.

Water leaking from the block

Depends where it is leaking from - could be many things (like head gasket). If it is just a little weeping, try adding a bottle of antifreeze conditioner available from your Subaru dealer - it's about $2 a bottle - supposed to help with that.

Whwerwe is the thermostat located on a 2002 subaru

It is where the lower radiator hose attaches to the water pump. You do have to drain the fluid to replace the thermostat. Good luck and have a great day.

90 subaru legacy overheats, wheres the thrmostat

When a car overheats it's rarely the thermostat. They just don't go bad that often. If it overheats when you idle a lot, it's the fan and with electric fans, it's almost always the fan motor. But to find the thermostat, follow the top radiator hose to the engine and there it is.

Where is the water pump on 97 outback ? i have a coolant leek, it is not the radiator or the hoses. it seems to be running along the oil pan the dripping on to the ground

The water pump is usually located at the front of the vehicle and is driven by a belt. Most water pumps have a "weep hole" on them. This is a small hole on the casing of the water pump. If you see any liquid coming out of the weep hole, then the water pump is bad and will need to be replaced. I assume that you have already checked and replaced the thermostat if needed.
