Question about 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Vehicle is not geting fuel.. changed fuel pump, checked all wires and conectors to the system, also changed fuel relay and checked fuses. still im not geting fuel to the engine, or even to the filter that i have also changed. the fuel pump will not turn on at all when it is in the truck, but when i bench test it, the pump turns on and runs. the fuel gague works also, and i have 2 fuel pumps that do the same thing but will not work in the vehicle the only thing i can think of is the cam shaft sensor, could this be the problem. 2002 trailblazer 4.2L 6cyl

Oil pressure switch is bad.

    Chevys are bad at loosing grounds. I always ground the ground wire coming out of the fuel pump to the frame rail by the tank.

    I just find the suppy pump true ground wire and splice a short wire into it and run that wire to the frame.

I think your fuel pump relay is bad as it activates the pump and thestarter . Also check the starter relay . It could be going bad.

There could be a few different reasons for power loss. Due to the age of the vehicle I really do not have many pictures for you but will do my best to explain what I would look for but there are a number of "checks" to do in order to narrow down the power loss. At the conector at the fuel cut off switch is there power at the brown wire ? While trying to start there should be power at all times. If the key is turned just to the "on" position you should have power there for a few seconds until the fuel pump relay clicks back off. Do you physically feel the fuel pump relay engauge when turning the key on or trying to start ? There is the EEC relay right next to the fuel pump relay, Is that one clicking that you can physically feel when touching it with your finger while someone is turning the key ? Below is a picture (basically) of your fuel pump relay and its terminals. Where the red arrow is there should be power at all times. Is there ? Also at the same place on the EEC relay there should be power at all times as well. If you are not geting power to the brown wire at the cut off switch and you do not have constant power at that terminal at the fuel pump relay or EEC relay there is a 20 guage fuse link going to those that terminal at the relays. Again I do not have pictures but can tell you it will be a yellow wire coming from the terminal I am pointing out with the red arrow. You can follow that yellow wire from either relay to the fusible link I am talking about. The fuse link should be blue in color. If you have power before the fuse link but no power after the fuse link then that fuse link is bad. There are separate fuse links for both relays but they are the same color and the wire you want to follow from either relay will both be yellow in color. The last thing you may want to check is the ground wire at the fuel pump (the black one) If not geting a good ground check the connectors and splices and you can also clean the ground location for the fuel pump. The main ground for the fuel pump is on the left hand side of the radiator support. Hoping you understood all that. I've been working on Fords for more years then I want to so I just happen to know these things and the software I have for my shop as I said doesn't really give great pictures. Just the basics on older vehicles. Where is the fuel pump reset button located on a 1996 oldsmobile aurora

There isn't a "reset" button for your vehicle. There is a fuse and a fuel pump relay. They are both located in the box in the right hand front corner in the engine compartment. Below is a diagram of both the fuses and the relays and the are both marked as fuel pump or fuel pu,p relay. If you have checked and are not geting power to the fuel pump, I would start there then check for a good ground and then check the wiring. Wish it were like a Ford that has a reset but it does not. Hope this helps a litle anyway.

I have 1994 oldsmobile sierra cutlass that i have recently changed the the fuel pump and the relays , and im getting power to the float and not the pump itself, i retraced the wire harness from the fuel...

Below is a picture of the fuel pump relay and the "plug" plug by numbers. See if you are geting power where the number 87 would be if it was plugged in. If you are not geting power there, check at the starter. There is a fusible link coming from the starter (red wire) if you are getting power on both sides of where the fusible link is, follow that wire further and there is a 15 amp inline fuse. If all is good there, have someone turn the key to the on position while you are checking for power at the number 85 slot. This is the power supply directly from the computer. It will only energize for about 2 seconds. If there is no power there, check the wiring from the vehicles computer to make sure all is good. If all is good you may be looking at a bad computer. You can also check to make sure you have a good ground at the number 86 slot and the black wire at the fuel pump. That ground is located on one of the transmission mounting bolts. All of this information is based on you having the 3.1 liter engine. If you have the 4 cylinder engine, not all of this applies. I just went with the most common engine for your vehicle since you didn't say which engine you have. 99 cavalier starts but wont run. I changed engine wiring harness off 2000. (Old harness is destroyed.) had to change conectors for injectors and fuse box is slitely different. there is an extra plug (big)...

I would suggest two things. First check to be sure fuel pump relay is staying on after starting. If vehicle has a security system, make sure it is not activated.

My 2001 v6 camero aint geting any gas it cranks up i changed the filter im praying its not the pump is there any thing i can check before i try a new pump

First, check for blown fuses. Find the fuel pump relay and swap it with another relay to see if that helps. If it does, replace the bad relay. Most late model cars have a fuel shutoff, or inertia switch that shuts down the fuel pump in an accident. They can be triggered for no reason at all. Check your owners manual to see if it has reset instructions for the fuel shut off. In the meantime I will do some research and see what I Can find and get back to you.

Where is the inertia switch on 96 blazer

GM vehicles dont have an inertia switch.Ford is the only manufacture that uses that.If you arent geting fuel on your blazer verify that you are geting power to fuel pump conector by the gas tank and if you are you probablely have a bad fuel pump.

The fule pump was not workin well we fix it but the car still ant geting fule

Have checked the fuel pump fuse how about the main relay. Have you tried checking and testing that? If you need instructions on how to test it let me know.

When you turn the key to access. II You hear the fuel pump run if you listen through the gas cap.

If the fuel pump is working I wouldnt assume it is a has problem yet.
I would start by checking spark make sure you are getting spark. Then make sure you are getting air. I would undo the intake pipe at the throttle body.

Once you done this let me know what happens.
